Public Health Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Public Health Assistant to join our team in Lagos. You will support data collection, community outreach, and administrative tasks that help evaluate and improve our health programs.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, enter, and manage health data using Excel, Access, REDCap, or EHR systems.
• Analyze basic trends to assess program effectiveness.
• Engage with community members, provide health education, and assist with surveys or interviews.
• Schedule meetings, take minutes, handle correspondence, and monitor inventory of educational and clinical supplies.
• Help develop and test data collection tools and participate in team planning sessions.
• Maintain patient and community health information in compliance with HIPAA privacy rules.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidates with up to 1 year of experience.
• Background in healthcare, community service, or related fields.
• Foundational knowledge of epidemiology, biostatistics, and social determinants of health.
• Clear, compassionate communication skills in English and preferably a local language.
