Programme, Planning and MEP Manager

About the role

The Programme, Planning and MEP Manager will lead the development and execution of the master construction programme for a major residential and estate infrastructure project in Lagos. Reporting to the Project Director, you will ensure timely delivery of all MEP works while coordinating closely with design, construction, and procurement teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, own, and maintain the master construction programme using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Issue a weekly 3‑week look‑ahead programme to team leaders and flag critical‑path risks.
• Present programme status at weekly project review meetings and drive recovery actions.
• Produce programme dashboard reports for client updates.
• Coordinate with Construction Managers, Fit‑Out Manager, and Site Engineers to capture actual progress.
• Model impacts of changes and variations before approval.
• Track procurement and delivery milestones for imported materials and plant.
• Hold overall MEP delivery authority across all residential blocks and estate infrastructure.
• Chair weekly MEP coordination meetings and ensure sleeve/penetration drawings are installed before slab pours.
• Review and approve MEP shop drawings and product submissions.
• Manage all MEP sub‑contracts (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, security, solar, generator, IT/communications).
• Own the MEP commissioning programme and produce the commissioning schedule.
• Prepare the MEP section of the Operations and Maintenance Manual.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or Civil Engineering; COREN registration preferred.
• Minimum 14 years of combined programme planning and MEP experience, with at least 5 years in a senior role on large residential or commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of all MEP disciplines and proven ability to manage multi‑disciplinary teams.
