Production Manager

About the role

The Production Manager will lead daily print production activities at our Lagos facility, ensuring schedules are met and customer expectations are exceeded. This role combines operational oversight, quality control, and team leadership to drive efficient, cost‑effective printing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise daily print production to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Develop production plans, allocate resources and monitor workflow for maximum efficiency.
• Conduct quality inspections, approve proofs and final outputs before delivery.
• Investigate production errors and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee operation, maintenance and safe use of printing, finishing and bindery equipment.
• Manage inventory of paper, inks, plates and consumables, coordinating procurement and minimizing waste.
• Supervise, train and mentor production staff, assign tasks and evaluate performance.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, including PPE use.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production reports on costs, utilization and efficiency.
• Liaise with clients, designers, sales teams and suppliers to clarify project requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Industrial Engineering, Production Management or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in commercial printing or print production.
• Strong knowledge of offset, digital, large‑format and finishing processes.
