Pre-Sales Network Engineer – Lagos

About the role

We are looking for a technically strong and customer‑focused Pre‑Sales Network Engineer to join VDT Communications in Ikoyi, Lagos. The role involves designing network solutions, supporting sales opportunities and translating business needs into secure, cost‑effective architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical proposals, solution designs and network architecture diagrams.
• Analyze customer requirements, conduct site surveys and feasibility assessments.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM), cost estimates and technical quotations.
• Deliver customer‑facing technical presentations and solution demonstrations.
• Coordinate with vendors on technical solutions and quotations.
• Ensure solutions comply with relevant security and technical standards.
• Review and manage design rework to meet customer and project requirements.
• Prepare project handover and technical documentation.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Service Fulfilment, vendors and other technical teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications or related field.
• Relevant experience in Network Engineering, Pre‑Sales, Solution Design or Telecommunications.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, architecture and connectivity solutions.
• Experience preparing technical proposals, BOMs, cost estimates and network designs.
• Excellent customer engagement, presentation and communication skills.
