Plant Procurement Manager – Lead Sourcing & Supplier Strategy

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Plant Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and supplier management for our beverage manufacturing plant in Abia. The role will drive cost‑effective procurement of raw materials, packaging and services, supporting our fast‑growing production operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure timely, cost‑effective procurement of raw materials, packaging and indirect goods.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers, managing contracts and relationships to secure high‑quality, reliable supply.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, sales and finance teams to align procurement activities with business objectives.
• Lead cross‑functional initiatives to achieve cost savings, quality improvements and supply‑chain innovation.
• Implement best‑practice procurement processes and systems to improve efficiency and visibility.
• Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for risk mitigation and optimisation.
• Define and track KPIs such as supplier performance, cost savings and inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, ethical standards and company policies.
• Mentor and develop a high‑performing procurement team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field; advanced degree or certifications (CSCP, CPSM) a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of procurement, sourcing or supply‑chain experience, preferably in FMCG, sales or manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex supplier networks.
