Manufacturing Manager

About the role

Melos Consulting is seeking a senior Manufacturing Manager to lead the production site in Lagos. You will be responsible for translating the Site Masterplan into operational excellence, driving growth, culture and sustainability across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Manufacturing Annual Operating Plan aligned with business needs.
• Lead the achievement of SQCDSM targets through disciplined governance and continuous improvement.
• Build and coach a high‑performing manufacturing team, ensuring clear KPIs and 100% engagement.
• Drive IL6S, TPM and transformation initiatives toward a "Factory of the Future".
• Establish governance for zero‑loss culture, technology upgrades and best‑practice benchmarking.
• Ensure compliance with corporate quality, food safety, GMP, health, safety, environmental and legal standards.
• Lead talent strategy, workforce planning and succession for the manufacturing function.
• Manage the manufacturing budget, monthly performance and cost optimisation.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Post‑graduate diploma in business or related field.
• Minimum 8 years (96 months) of relevant manufacturing leadership experience.
• Senior‑level professional with proven track record in large‑scale production environments.

• Lean Six Sigma (IL6S) methodology.
• Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
• Continuous Improvement and Zero‑Loss mindset.
• GMP and Food Safety compliance.
• Financial budgeting and cost optimisation.
