Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Maintenance Manager will lead the maintenance function for Olam Agri's processing facilities in Lagos, ensuring all equipment, utilities and buildings operate to the highest standards of safety, efficiency and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and control all aspects of plant maintenance, monitoring breakdowns, running hours, capacity and key performance indicators.
• Optimise utilisation of processing and quality resources to achieve maximum capacity and minimise controllable losses.
• Manage external contractors, challenging costs and performance to secure quality service.
• Maintain personnel records, training needs and development plans for the maintenance team.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards, including BRC requirements, and enforce safe working practices.
• Oversee dust and noise control, and ensure environmental compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in maintenance, utilities or project management within a mechanical/electrical engineering context.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Relevant certifications such as QEHS or HACCP are preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage contractors and drive continuous improvement.
