Logistics Expert – Humanitarian Operations

About the role

Under the supervision of country management, the Logistics Expert will support the management team to ensure that logistical policies and procedures are adapted to the local context and humanitarian needs. This advisory position works closely with program and support teams to analyse trends, update processes and implement Action Against Hunger’s logistics and procurement standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure organisational logistical policies are responsive to the operational context.
• Provide expert advice on logistics processes and coordinate with program and support teams.
• Analyse logistics trends, update procedures and implement procurement guidelines.
• Monitor compliance with humanitarian principles, code of conduct and sector‑specific regulations.
• Maintain knowledge of local, regional and international logistics and procurement policies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing logistics projects in humanitarian settings.
• Experience with Action Against Hunger is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to plan, organise and execute logistics operations while respecting humanitarian principles.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term contract (3 months) under French legislation.
• Monthly gross salary €2,597–€2,968, including a 13th month.
• Pension reimbursement (16% of gross salary) for non‑French citizens.
• Monthly per diem $838 net and country allowance €150.
