Lab Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Lab Technician to join our healthcare laboratory team in Lagos. The role involves preparing and analysing samples, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and infection‑control standards. This position offers the chance to collaborate with healthcare professionals in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and prepare samples for laboratory testing.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure the work area is clean.
• Record and analyse test results accurately.
• Follow safety and infection‑control procedures.
• Assist in inventory management and restocking of laboratory supplies.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary.

Required profile

• Minimum OND/HND/B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
• Relevant certification or license is an advantage.
• Previous experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and pay attention to detail.

Required skills

• Basic computer knowledge.
