Junior F5 Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior F5 Engineer to join our team in Lagos. You will support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of F5 BIG‑IP platforms, ensuring reliable application delivery for our enterprise clients. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience with load balancing, security, and network operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining F5 BIG‑IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) environments.
• Monitor application delivery services, perform health checks, and troubleshoot basic network issues.
• Support SSL certificate installation, renewal, and management.
• Participate in F5 deployment and migration projects, configuring virtual servers, pools, nodes, monitors, and iRules.
• Maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and operational reports.
• Help implement security policies, including Web Application Firewall (WAF) settings.
• Escalate complex incidents to senior engineers and contribute to change management processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• Up to 12 months of relevant experience or a strong academic background.
• Willingness to pursue F5 Certified Administrator (F5‑CA) or equivalent certification.
• Ability to work under supervision while taking initiative and collaborating in a team.
