Junior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Lagos. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting payroll, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and perform timely bookkeeping.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Record daily transactions and reconcile bank statements.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process payroll and statutory deductions.
• Prepare and file tax returns, VAT, PAYE, WHT, and other statutory obligations.
• Monitor budgets, expenses, and cash flow for financial planning.
• Conduct periodic account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 3–4 years of proven accounting experience.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or ATS) is an advantage.
• Must reside in Isolo or nearby areas (Ejigbo, Okota, Ajao Estate, Oshodi, Mafoluku, Ilasamaja, Mushin, Surulere).

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks (mandatory).
• Working knowledge of Sage, Zoho Books, Tally, or ERP systems (advantage).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

• Competitive monthly remuneration ranging from NGN 150,000 to NGN 250,000.
