Inventory/Procurement Officer

About the role

The Inventory/Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing stock levels, ensuring timely procurement, and maintaining strong supplier relationships for our manufacturing and warehousing operations in Lagos.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts and audits, and maintain accurate records.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods, ensuring proper storage and handling.
• Track product expiration dates and implement stock rotation procedures.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and damages.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers; prepare purchase requisitions and orders.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices, and ensure cost‑effective purchasing.
• Coordinate timely delivery of goods and services, tracking orders to meet quality and timeline requirements.
• Prepare inventory and procurement reports for management review.
• Maintain documentation of procurement transactions and supplier records.
• Support budgeting and cost‑control initiatives while ensuring compliance with company policies and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Approximately two years of experience in inventory management, procurement, or warehouse operations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record‑keeping.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using inventory management systems, ERP software, or procurement platforms.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
