Inventory Support Officer – POS Terminals & Spare Parts

About the role

The Inventory Support Officer is responsible for end‑to‑end custody and traceability of POS terminals and spare‑part consumables within the repair centre. The role ensures accurate logging, timely repair assignment, and proper dispatch while maintaining strict inventory controls.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, verify and log faulty or returned POS terminals against waybills, updating the IMS within 24 hours.
• Push terminals to technicians, monitor repair stages, enforce 24–72 hour SLAs, and update status throughout the pipeline.
• Generate dispatch lists, scan devices at serial level, and close outbound transactions in the IMS.
• Receive spare‑part consignments, verify batch/serial numbers, store in labelled bins, and protect components from environmental damage.
• Issue spare parts only against approved job cards, update stock levels instantly, and manage returns.
• Conduct daily physical counts, reconcile with IMS records, and report variances.
• Maintain labelled zones, enforce SOPs, and ensure audit readiness and workplace safety.

Required profile

• Minimum OND in a related discipline.
• At least 2 years experience in inventory operations.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work with limited supervision, and effective communication.
• Excellent organizational and record‑keeping skills, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
