Inventory Officer

About the role

We are looking for an Inventory Officer to join Bucch Energy Limited’s supply chain team in Lagos. The role involves managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, ensuring accurate records and supporting production and sales operations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and record all incoming goods, verifying against purchase orders, delivery notes and invoices.
• Store materials safely and in an organized manner, maintaining proper labeling and stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO).
• Issue stock only on approved requisitions and keep thorough documentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or computerized systems.
• Monitor stock levels, trigger re‑ordering and conduct periodic stock counts to reconcile physical inventory.
• Investigate discrepancies, damages, losses or expired items and report findings.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly inventory reports.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Sales and Accounts on inventory‑related activities.
• Ensure the store complies with health, safety and security standards and support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory or warehouse management.
• Strong analytical, record‑keeping and organizational abilities with close attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and communicate effectively across departments.
