In-House Sales Representative

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic In‑House Sales Representative to join our retail team in Lagos. You will be the first point of contact for walk‑in customers and will handle enquiries across phone, email, WhatsApp and social media.

Key responsibilities

• Greet walk‑in customers and provide professional product or service recommendations.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries via multiple communication channels.
• Identify customer needs, generate sales, and prepare accurate quotations, invoices and sales orders.
• Follow up on leads, quotations and inquiries to convert prospects into paying customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to encourage repeat business.
• Achieve daily, weekly and monthly sales targets.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions, sales activities and transactions using CRM or sales tracking systems.
• Coordinate with inventory, operations and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Upsell and cross‑sell products and services.
• Stay informed about product features, pricing, promotions and market trends.
• Resolve customer complaints or escalate issues when necessary.
• Prepare regular sales reports and provide performance updates.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidates with up to 12 months of experience in sales, customer service, retail or business development.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong customer service and relationship‑management skills.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Self‑motivated, confident and results‑oriented.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with CRM software (preferred).
• Familiarity with Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems (preferred).
• Basic computer application skills.
