HR Manager

About the role

MML Consulting is looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead talent acquisition, workforce planning and overall HR operations for its Energy & Utilities projects in Lagos. The role will partner with senior leadership to align people strategies with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding and workforce forecasting for current and upcoming projects.
• Develop, implement and maintain HR policies, ensuring compliance with the Nigerian Labour Act, Pension Reform Act and other statutory requirements.
• Handle employee relations, grievance resolution, disciplinary procedures and promote an inclusive workplace culture.
• Oversee performance management systems, conduct appraisals and coordinate training programmes including technical, safety and leadership development.
• Support payroll, statutory deductions, salary reviews and administer employee welfare benefits such as medical, housing and site welfare.
• Provide strategic HR advice to senior management, delivering metrics, reports and insights on turnover, productivity and workforce trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.
• Master’s degree or MBA with an HR focus is an advantage.
• Professional HR certification (CIPM, CIPD, SHRM‑CP/SCP, HRCI) required or in progress.
• 7–10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or HR generalist leadership role.
