About the role
The House Assistant will support the daily running of a private residence in Port Harcourt. This full‑time position involves maintaining cleanliness, assisting with meals and errands, and providing occasional childcare support. The role requires reliability, attention to detail and a willingness to help with family needs, working directly with household staff and family members.
Key responsibilities
- Clean and tidy bedrooms, living areas, kitchen and bathrooms; sweep, mop and dust.
- Wash and properly arrange dishes and kitchen utensils.
- Perform laundry duties, including ironing and folding.
- Assist with cooking and meal preparation as needed.
- Organise household items and supplies.
- Carry out grocery shopping and other errands.
- Dispose of waste appropriately.
- Provide occasional childcare and family‑related assistance.
Required profile
- No previous experience required.
- Ability to perform household cleaning, cooking assistance and basic errands.
- Willingness to follow instructions and maintain a safe, hygienic environment.
