Head of Watches & Jewellery (Luxury Retail)

About the role

Polo Limited is seeking a senior leader to head its Watches & Jewellery division in Lagos. This role combines commercial leadership, product expertise, and client relationship management to drive growth across Africa’s luxury market.

Key responsibilities

• Own the P&L for the Watches & Jewellery division, meeting revenue, margin and growth targets.
• Develop and execute commercial strategies for retail, B2B, B2G, VIC and private sales channels.
• Plan annual and quarterly revenue, manage forecasts, pipeline reviews and boutique performance scorecards.
• Lead strategic partnerships with global watch and jewellery maisons to secure allocations and enhance support.
• Direct a network of boutiques and managers, ensuring operational excellence and world‑class service.
• Define KPIs, drive sales pipelines, set client‑eling targets and lead performance reviews.
• Grow institutional gifting and procurement channels, including corporate and government programmes.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in luxury retail, preferably watches and jewellery.
• Proven track record of commercial growth, customer engagement and multi‑site operational excellence.
• Deep knowledge of heritage watchmaking, jewellery craftsmanship and evolving consumer tastes.
• Strong experience in client‑eling and CRM‑driven sales strategies.
