Head of Human Resources

About the role

The Head of Human Resources will provide strategic HR leadership for a growing network of hospitals and clinics. Reporting to the executive team, you will shape people strategies that support the organization’s mission and ensure consistent HR practices across all locations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Lead recruitment and retention for clinical and non‑clinical staff, including doctors, nurses and technicians.
• Manage disciplinary processes, conflict resolution and foster a positive workplace culture.
• Design competitive compensation structures and oversee benefits programs.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws and healthcare regulations.
• Establish continuous professional development and mandatory training programs.
• Oversee HR metrics, reporting, HRIS systems and payroll processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 6 years of HR experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in healthcare or multi‑location organisations is highly preferred.
• Professional HR certifications such as CIPM, SHRM or HRCI are an advantage.
