Head of Contract Management – EPCIC Projects

About the role

The Head of Contract Management will lead the strategic oversight of all client, consortium, and subcontract agreements across Oilserv’s EPCIC portfolio. This senior position ensures commercial protection, contractual compliance, and proactive risk mitigation throughout project lifecycles.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development, review, negotiation and administration of complex EPCIC contracts, framework agreements and subcontract packages.
• Establish and maintain contract governance procedures, templates, delegation matrices and compliance protocols.
• Allocate risk, protect margins and align contractual terms with commercial strategies.
• Drive proactive management of variations, extension of time claims, compensation events and contractual notices.
• Coordinate claim preparation, defence and dispute resolution in collaboration with legal, project controls, planning and finance teams.
• Monitor contract performance indicators such as revenue leakage, claims exposure, guarantees, bonds and insurance compliance.
• Support bid clarification, tender review and commercial evaluation during project acquisition.
• Ensure subcontract agreements maintain appropriate back‑to‑back obligations with prime contracts.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in contract management within EPCIC or oil & gas projects.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian regulatory requirements and international EPC contracting standards.
• Proven ability to advise senior management on contractual exposure and commercial risk.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and dispute mitigation skills.
