Group Manager – Compliance (Africa)

About the role

DP World is seeking a Group Manager – Compliance to act as an independent business partner for its growing Africa operations. Reporting to the Group Compliance Director – Africa, you will help shape end‑to‑end supply‑chain solutions by delivering proactive risk‑management across anti‑bribery, data protection, sanctions and anti‑trust matters.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of DP World’s African business and build trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
• Provide practical guidance on compliance risks and support the creation, review, and localisation of Group compliance policies.
• Design and deliver compliance training and awareness programmes across the region.
• Conduct third‑party due‑diligence and monitor high‑risk relationships.
• Analyse sanctions and export‑control risks, producing formal assessments.
• Support data‑privacy compliance, including regulatory filings and privacy impact assessments.
• Execute periodic risk assessments, audits and monitoring activities.
• Collaborate with the wider Group Compliance team and perform related duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, law or a related field (JD/LLM a plus).
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a compliance manager or officer in a multinational organisation.
• Demonstrated expertise in privacy and data protection, anti‑bribery and corruption, anti‑trust, and economic sanctions.
• Experience driving change management and adoption of new tools and processes.
• Certified compliance professional preferred.
