About the role

The General Manager – Non-Commodity Procurement will lead the sourcing of specialised materials for Olam Agri, ensuring a reliable and cost‑effective supply chain across local and international markets. This senior position combines strategic planning, operational excellence and team leadership to support the company’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for non‑commodity materials, emphasizing supplier diversification and risk mitigation.
• Streamline procurement workflows to improve efficiency and achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
• Utilise SAP procurement modules to ensure data accuracy and enable real‑time decision‑making.
• Oversee import and export logistics, guaranteeing compliance with international trade regulations and minimizing customs delays.
• Apply best‑practice inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid overstocking or stockouts.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the procurement team.
• Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration to align procurement objectives with broader organisational goals.

Required profile

• Engineering degree combined with an MBA from a recognised institution.
• 12–15 years of experience in procurement and supply‑chain management.
• Proven expertise in SAP procurement modules.
• In‑depth knowledge of import/export procedures and international trade compliance.
• Demonstrated experience working in Nigerian or broader African markets.
