About the role
The Renewable Energy Division seeks a strategic and results‑driven General Manager / COO to lead business growth, operational excellence, and market expansion across Nigeria's solar and inverter markets.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute the division’s strategic plan to achieve profitability and growth.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality service and compliance.
- Drive business development, secure new clients and strengthen relationships with key customers and partners.
- Lead the sales function to meet revenue targets and increase market share in solar and inverter solutions.
- Manage end‑to‑end execution of renewable energy projects, delivering on scope, budget and schedule.
- Provide leadership, coaching and performance management for cross‑functional teams (sales, engineering, operations, customer service).
- Monitor financial performance, prepare forecasts and budgets, and implement profitability‑enhancing initiatives.
- Identify market trends, emerging technologies and new business opportunities to foster innovation.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through quality delivery and stakeholder engagement.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, industry standards and regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
- 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role within renewable energy, solar, inverter, electrical engineering or power sectors.
- Proven track record in business development, operations management and strategic leadership.
- Deep understanding of Nigeria’s renewable energy landscape, market dynamics and regulatory environment.
- Experience managing large‑scale solar or inverter projects.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
