Firefighter

About the role

The Firefighter role is a full‑time, on‑site position at Insignia Print Technology LFTZ Enterprise on Lagos Island. You will be responsible for protecting people, property and production assets by responding to fire emergencies and maintaining fire safety standards within the manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine fire safety inspections and monitor compliance with fire safety procedures.
• Maintain and service firefighting equipment, including hoses, extinguishers and breathing apparatus.
• Participate in fire drills, emergency response training and evacuation procedures.
• Collaborate with health, safety and operations teams to identify fire risks and support preventive measures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and provide assistance during emergency evacuations.

Required profile

• Demonstrated competence in firefighting operations and use of fire suppression equipment.
• Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and industrial safety standards, preferably in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
• Ability to perform risk assessments, identify hazards and support corrective actions.
• Physical fitness and stamina to handle demanding emergency tasks, including lifting, climbing and working in high‑heat or confined spaces.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for calm coordination during emergencies.
• Formal training or certification in firefighting, fire safety or emergency management; additional HSE or first‑aid/CPR certification is an advantage.
