Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller to lead the preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts, oversee budgeting and treasury functions, and ensure compliance with regulatory reporting for Zeus Mfb. The role reports directly to the MD/CEO and supports the board with financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit CBN and NDIC monthly rendition returns.
• Prepare and present the monthly management account to the board through the MD/CEO.
• Lead budget preparation, budgetary control and effective implementation.
• Manage investment and fund activities.
• Provide daily liquidity position reports to the MD/CEO.
• Drive weekly Asset and Liabilities Management committee meetings.
• Prepare and present the Monthly Performance Review (MPR) report and lead the meeting.
• Oversee treasury and liquidity management of the bank.
• Remit statutory deductions (PAYE, WHT, VAT, etc.) on a monthly basis.
• Authorize vendor payments and staff payroll.
• Review the weekly Bank Reconciliation Statement.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the MD/CEO and Board.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of a degree in a related field.
