Finance and Operations Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Finance and Operations Analyst to join our fast‑growing team in Lagos. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day‑to‑day operations, and providing actionable insights to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Track and manage company expenses, cash flow, and vendor payments to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports, highlighting cash position, burn rate, and key cost drivers.
• Translate financial data into clear insights for leadership using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Develop simple financial forecasts and models, comparing actual performance against forecasts.
• Support budgeting and financial planning processes, flagging risks and areas of concern.
• Design and implement lightweight financial systems and processes to improve tracking and accountability.
• Collaborate with the Operations Lead to provide financial and operational insights that enhance decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in finance, operations, or financial analysis, preferably in a startup or high‑growth tech environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles and local regulations.
• Experience building financial models or dashboards.
