Evaluation Consultant

About the role

The Centre for Women’s Health and Information (CEWHIN) seeks an experienced External Evaluation Consultant (or team) to lead the final evaluation of PROJECT HOPE, a three‑year UN‑funded initiative aimed at strengthening violence‑against‑women and girls (VAWG/SGBV) prevention and response structures for women and girls with disabilities in Lagos and Osun States.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive evaluation of PROJECT HOPE covering the period October 2023 – September 2026.
• Assess relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, coherence, impact, sustainability and cross‑cutting gender equality and human rights criteria.
• Identify lessons learned and promising practices for future programming.
• Review all major project components, including institutional strengthening, capacity building, advocacy, awareness creation, psychosocial first‑aid training and knowledge products.
• Prepare a detailed evaluation report with actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 7 years of experience in external project evaluation.
• Demonstrated expertise in gender‑based violence, disability inclusion, and humanitarian/programmatic evaluation.
• Strong understanding of evaluation frameworks and theory of change analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
