Driver – Car Rental (Full-time, Lekki)

About the role

E&R Standard Gate is seeking a full-time Driver for its car‑rental fleet in Lekki. The role involves operating rental vehicles safely, transporting clients and staff, and keeping the fleet clean and road‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Operate rental cars and, when required, trucks, following assigned routes and schedules.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections, report any maintenance issues and ensure vehicles are clean and well‑presented.
• Transport clients and staff to designated locations, assisting with pick‑up and drop‑off procedures and providing courteous communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation of vehicle usage, mileage and service records.
• Coordinate with the operations team to optimise vehicle availability and support occasional logistics tasks.

Required profile

• Valid Class A driver’s licence (or equivalent) with a clean driving record and knowledge of local traffic laws.
• Demonstrated experience in vehicle operation, including truck driving when needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in car‑rental, transportation or logistics is an advantage.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills, with the ability to resolve basic issues.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends or holidays, as business needs dictate.
