Dispatch & Operations Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Dispatch & Operations Assistant to join our logistics team in Lagos. You will coordinate daily delivery routes, support riders, and ensure smooth communication with customers. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational abilities and a good knowledge of Lagos traffic.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and optimise daily delivery routes, assigning orders based on rider availability, location and priority.
• Monitor rider movements, provide real‑time support, and ensure compliance with safety and service standards.
• Communicate delivery updates to customers, handle enquiries and resolve basic delivery issues.
• Receive, verify and organise delivery requests, maintain accurate dispatch records and track pending deliveries.
• Prepare daily and weekly operational reports on deliveries, rider productivity and customer issues.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Required profile

• Minimum SSCE or OND qualification; HND or Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• 1‑3 years of experience in logistics, dispatch coordination, operations or customer service (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Lagos roads, routes and traffic patterns.
• Good organisational skills and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Maps for route planning.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Comfortable using smartphones, WhatsApp Business and other basic digital tools.
