Digital Fleets Manager

About the role

The Digital Fleets Manager will lead the planning, monitoring and optimisation of a mixed fleet of CNG, LNG and diesel trucks. You will ensure high asset utilisation, minimal downtime and compliance with all safety and regulatory standards while controlling operating costs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan daily truck deployment, routes and utilisation for CNG, LNG and diesel units.
• Schedule servicing, MOT and roadworthiness checks to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of gas takes, reconcile fuel cards and supplier invoices.
• Analyse cost‑per‑km for different fuels and recommend optimal fuel mixes.
• Manage telematics, GPS tracking, ELD and fleet management software; monitor KPIs such as fuel efficiency, breakdown rate and turnaround time.
• Produce weekly and monthly performance reports.
• Develop and track preventive maintenance schedules, especially for CNG/LNG tanks and safety certifications.
• Ensure compliance with FRSC, SON, DPR/NMDPRA and insurance requirements.
• Negotiate with vendors for maintenance, tyres, gas supply, tracking and insurance.
• Train drivers on CNG/LNG safety, eco‑driving and standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• HND/BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Transport/Logistics or related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in fleet management or transport operations.
• Preferably 2+ years managing CNG/LNG or alternative‑fuel trucks.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
