Database Operations Engineer

About the role

Crown Interactive is looking for a Database Operations Engineer to ensure the stability, performance, and security of its MySQL database environments that power critical business applications. You will work within a hybrid model, collaborating with development, infrastructure, and support teams to deliver reliable and scalable data services.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain MySQL databases on‑premise and cloud platforms.
• Monitor database health, performance, and capacity, and set up alerts.
• Perform query optimization, index tuning, and use the performance schema for diagnostics.
• Manage backups, restores, and disaster‑recovery processes.
• Configure and maintain replication and failover setups for high availability.
• Troubleshoot database incidents, enforce security policies, and audit logging.
• Collaborate with developers to improve schema design and performance.
• Support database upgrades and schema changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of hands‑on MySQL administration experience.
• Strong understanding of InnoDB, indexes, and query execution plans.
• Experience with replication, high‑availability, and Linux environments.
