Customer Service Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Customer Service Officer to join our retail and FMCG team in Lagos. The role involves handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of satisfaction across multiple communication channels.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat.
• Provide accurate information about products, services, and company policies.
• Handle complaints and resolve issues effectively, escalating complex cases when necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of interactions, feedback, and complaints.
• Follow up with customers to confirm that their needs have been met.
• Support customer retention initiatives and contribute to service‑improvement projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance the overall customer experience.

Required profile

• Minimum ND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least two years of experience in customer service, client relations, front‑desk or support roles (preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving, conflict‑resolution and listening abilities.
• Professional, polite appearance and a customer‑first attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple requests simultaneously.
• Residence in or near Lekki, Ajah, Victoria Island, Ikoyi or surrounding areas (preferred).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
