Corporate Communication & Sustainability Officer

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Corporate Communication & Sustainability Officer to lead our CSR, sustainability and branding initiatives in Lagos. The role will support Prudential Zenith Life Insurance’s strategic objectives by shaping internal and external communications and fostering a responsible corporate culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated CSR, sustainability, branding and communication programmes aligned with corporate strategy.
• Manage relationships with community partners, vendors, agencies and internal stakeholders to support corporate initiatives.
• Plan creative briefs, produce marketing materials, corporate gifts, promotional items and office branding.
• Oversee the company’s social media channels and promote products, campaigns, events and CSR commitments.
• Collaborate with marketing, PR, graphics and other teams to drive storytelling, employee volunteering and an inclusive culture.
• Monitor compliance with environmental, social, ethical and sustainability policies and support related management systems.
• Prepare reports, track budgets, evaluate programme outcomes and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Environmental Science, Management, Social Sciences, International Business or related field; postgraduate degree or professional certification is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in branding, communications, CSR, sustainability or related functions.
• Strong relationship‑management and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and report‑writing skills.
• Analytical thinking, problem‑solving, attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of branding, digital marketing, social media management and copywriting.
• Understanding of CSR, sustainability, ESG and ethical business practices.
