Commercial & Marketing Director – Nigeria

About the role

The Commercial & Marketing Director will lead the definition, deployment and steering of the Group’s commercial and marketing strategy for the launch and growth phases in Nigeria and the wider English‑speaking African market. This senior position is responsible for building high‑performing sales and marketing teams, developing robust distribution networks and driving revenue growth while strengthening brand positioning.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the commercial and marketing strategy across English‑speaking Africa in line with the Group’s master plan.
• Recruit, train and lead B2C and B2B commercial and marketing teams, establishing sales and marketing capabilities during launch phases.
• Design, establish and scale multi‑channel distribution networks, including physical, digital, online and mobile‑money payment platforms.
• Set revenue targets, KPIs and performance objectives; monitor performance through dashboards and drive sales acceleration initiatives.
• Provide structured customer and market insights to shape marketing campaigns, product launches and partnership opportunities.

Required profile

• Strategic leadership experience in commercial and marketing management.
• Strong expertise in B2B and B2C sales models and multi‑channel distribution.
• Data‑driven decision‑making and performance management skills.
• Proven ability to engage stakeholders and lead cross‑functional teams.
• Experience operating in multi‑country emerging market environments.
