Classroom Support Staff – Early Childhood

About the role

Twinkly Tots is looking for a compassionate Classroom Support Staff member to join its early‑years team in Lagos. You will work closely with the lead teacher to create a safe, nurturing environment where young children can explore, learn and develop essential skills.

Key responsibilities

• Engage children in class activities, guided play and learning routines.
• Assist the lead teacher with age‑appropriate educational activities.
• Support fine motor tasks, sensory play, early numeracy and literacy readiness.
• Provide emotional comfort and reassurance to children.
• Supervise indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety at all times.
• Oversee feeding and snack times, promoting hygiene and independence.
• Help with nappy changing, toileting and general hygiene.
• Assist children with clothing changes when needed.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organized classroom environment.
• Set up learning materials and sanitize toys, equipment and surfaces.
• Report any injuries, accidents or concerns promptly to the lead teacher or School Director.

Required profile

• Warm, patient and child‑friendly personality.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically able to bend, lift children and support active play.
• Experience working with children aged 0–5 years is an advantage.
