Chemistry Educator

About the role

The Chemistry Educator will join Aaresther Divine School to deliver engaging chemistry lessons to secondary students. This full‑time position involves planning, teaching, and assessing students while contributing to the school’s academic community.

Key responsibilities

• Create and deliver lesson plans aligned with state and national standards.
• Utilise diverse instructional techniques and technology to support learning.
• Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records of attendance, behaviour, and performance.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and a love of learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership on school‑wide initiatives.
• Participate in professional development to stay current with educational best practices.
• Attend meetings outside regular school hours as required.

Required profile

• NCE qualification.
• Experience teaching chemistry in a secondary school setting (minimum 12 months).
• Strong understanding of the secondary school chemistry curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to student learning and success.
• Flexibility to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Residence within the Ejigbo, Isolo, or Oshodi axis of Lagos State.
