Chemical Engineer – Remote Chemistry Expert (Short‑Term Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Chemistry Expert to work remotely on a short‑term contract. You will solve advanced, postgraduate‑level chemistry problems and create detailed, visual explanations for AI model fine‑tuning projects.

Key responsibilities

• Solve advanced chemistry problems, including organic reaction mechanisms, chemical equilibria, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, and electrochemistry.
• Create detailed explanations using text, images, chemical equations, diagrams, and visual representations.
• Provide constructive feedback and detailed annotations on chemistry‑related tasks.
• Contribute analytical problem‑solving and structured reasoning to AI model fine‑tuning.
• Explain chemistry concepts clearly with simple language, visuals, and simulations when needed.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. (or currently pursuing) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Strong research and analytical abilities.
• Excellent structured communication and collaboration skills in a remote setting.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently with a reliable internet connection.
• LinkedIn profile must be included in the resume; background check required after onboarding.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least three of the following tools: GROMACS, LAMMPS, Psi4, PySCF, xtb, crest, Multiwfn, Cantera, CoolProp, NWChem, PyBaMM, RDKit, Open Babel.

What we offer

• $450 per approved task.
• Fully remote work with a 40‑hour weekly commitment and 4‑hour overlap with PST.
• Flexible short‑term contract (11 weeks).
