Business Development Specialist

About the role

The Business Development Specialist will drive growth for Egatee Online by identifying new market opportunities, acquiring customers and nurturing existing relationships. This full‑time position focuses on promoting the company’s logistics solutions across Surulere and Ikeja while supporting revenue and profitability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities into active customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to boost retention and revenue.
• Achieve assigned sales, customer acquisition and revenue targets.
• Conduct market research to uncover emerging opportunities, customer needs and competitor activities.
• Prepare and deliver proposals, quotations and presentations to prospective customers.
• Collaborate with Operations, Customer Service and Finance to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Manage the full customer lifecycle from prospecting through onboarding and post‑sales support.
• Maintain accurate sales pipelines and customer records using the company’s CRM.
• Participate in marketing campaigns, networking events and business development initiatives.
• Prepare periodic sales and business development reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Logistics or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales or Customer Relationship Management, preferably in logistics, courier or e‑commerce.
• Proven track record of meeting sales and revenue targets.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Proximity to the Surulere/Ikeja office is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel for business development activities.
• High level of professionalism, integrity and customer orientation.
