Sales Executive

About the role

We are building our founding sales team at Konetpay, a CBN‑licensed payment gateway and a product of 21st Century Technologies Group. As a Sales Executive you will identify, pitch and close merchants across SME, mid‑market and enterprise segments, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to go‑live.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and acquire merchants across SME, mid‑market, and enterprise segments.
• Manage the full sales cycle from outbound prospecting through contract sign‑off and merchant go‑live.
• Build and maintain relationships with decision‑makers at target accounts.
• Work with the Product and Implementation team to ensure merchants are onboarded and transacting.
• Maintain accurate pipeline records and provide regular forecasts.
• Represent Konetpay at industry events and through your professional network.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in fintech, payments, SaaS, or financial services.
• Demonstrated ability to close deals independently without heavy management oversight.
• Existing network in Nigerian commerce, e‑commerce, or financial services is an advantage.
• Comfortable selling to both SME owners and enterprise decision‑makers.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Organised, self‑directed, and comfortable with the ambiguity of an early‑stage team.

What we offer

• Base salary plus a performance‑based commission structure.
• Commission earned on net fee income generated by your merchant book, tiered by merchant segment, providing meaningful upside for strong performers.
