Business Development Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Officer to drive client acquisition and market expansion for Stremvans Capital Limited. The role focuses on attracting high‑net‑worth individuals, corporate and institutional investors to our investment advisory services in Nigeria’s capital market.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, pitch to, and onboard high‑net‑worth individuals, corporate clients and institutional investors.
• Develop and execute strategic marketing campaigns to grow the firm’s footprint.
• Source and qualify leads from referrals, events and partnerships; schedule 8‑10 client meetings per week.
• Ensure all marketing and advisory materials comply with the Investments and Securities Act and SEC directives.
• Collaborate with the Compliance Officer to vet new products and marketing strategies.
• Serve as primary contact for new clients, managing onboarding through portfolio reviews.
• Maintain accurate client records in line with SEC reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with the Capital Market Trade Group to sustain industry networks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of business development experience in the Nigerian financial sector.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian capital market regulations, especially SEC guidelines for corporate investment advisers.
• Willingness to complete annual capital‑market training as required by the Commission.
• Zero history of financial malpractice and ability to operate under strict governance.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation and relationship‑management abilities.
