Auditor / Chartered Accountant

About the role

Lekki Gardens Estates Limited is looking for a senior Auditor/Chartered Accountant to lead audit activities across its real‑estate portfolio, ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance and robust internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive audits of real‑estate transactions, projects, subsidiaries and business units.
• Review property sales, customer payment schedules, deposits, instalments, refunds and revenue recognition.
• Audit and reconcile property sales and receivables to ensure accurate collection recording.
• Monitor project costs, verify expenditures against budgets, contracts and milestones, and flag cost overruns.
• Analyse financial performance of individual projects and provide variance analysis with recommendations.
• Audit land acquisition transactions, contractor payments and supplier invoices for proper documentation and approvals.
• Assess controls over property inventory, unsold units, work‑in‑progress and other real‑estate assets.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants and internal teams during statutory audits.
• Prepare detailed audit findings, management reports and track implementation of recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Chartered Accountant qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• Minimum 7 years of audit experience, preferably in real‑estate or construction.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and manage audit projects end‑to‑end.
