Assistant Manager – Office Operations & Logistics

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to support the smooth operation of our office and logistics functions in Lagos. Reporting to the Managing Director and Office Manager, you will ensure timely execution of administrative, procurement and vehicle management tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Manage relationships with landlords, handling rental issues and office equipment maintenance.
• Organise office meetings, track action items and ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with insurance brokers for company goods and oversee vehicle fleet management.
• Liaise weekly with the Managing Director to address pending purchase orders and actions.
• Initiate and direct customer‑facing communication to expedite orders, monitoring OEM and IOC correspondence.
• Collaborate with accountants to set targets, streamline audits and maintain an up‑to‑date asset register.
• Supervise staff, oversee ISO audits and documentation, and report to training, development and senior management.
• Work closely with expediting and logistics teams on local and long‑distance deliveries, reviewing quotes and ensuring compliance.

Required profile

• HND or BSc degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Analytical and strategic thinking with advanced problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and investigative capabilities.
• High integrity, honesty and a collaborative team attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
