Assistant Manager – Cinema Operations

About the role

The Assistant Manager will support the Cinema Manager in overseeing daily cinema operations, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for guests. This onsite role is based in Lagos (Marina) and involves supervising front‑of‑house teams, handling guest issues, and maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Cinema Manager with overall management of daily cinema activities.
• Supervise Guest Service Hosts, ushers, ticketing, food & beverage, and other frontline staff.
• Monitor staff performance, grooming, punctuality, conduct and adherence to service standards.
• Handle guest complaints promptly and professionally.
• Ensure all public areas (screens, lounges, restrooms) are clean, comfortable and well‑presented.
• Coordinate staff deployment according to business needs and peak periods.
• Oversee ticketing, seating, concessions and guest flow to guarantee smooth operations.
• Support inventory control, minimise waste and operational losses.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, HSE procedures, security standards and operational guidelines.
• Assist with staff training, onboarding, coaching and performance monitoring.
• Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Cinema Manager.

Required profile

• HND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Tourism or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in cinema operations, hospitality, luxury retail, restaurants or hotels.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
• Strong leadership, people‑management and communication abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
