About the role
The Accounting & Inventory Assistant will support both the finance and inventory functions of Lopterra Services Limited, a leading renewable energy and power systems firm in Nigeria. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, monitoring stock movements, and assisting with audits to ensure efficient operations.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable postings, process invoices, receipts and payments.
- Maintain records of purchases, suppliers, sales and customers.
- Reconcile discrepancies in financial records and ensure depreciation is posted.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and preparation of financial reports for management.
- Monitor inventory levels, perform regular counts and reconciliations.
- Implement inventory control procedures, handle returns, exchanges and damaged goods.
- Process purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery.
- Prepare periodic stock reports and assist with audit documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards and relevant regulations.
Required profile
- Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Experience in maintaining accurate financial and inventory records.
- Ability to work with inventory management and accounting software.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow internal controls.
