Accountant

About the role

CoreHR Consulting is seeking a diligent Accountant to join its finance team in Victoria Island, Lagos. You will be responsible for accurate financial recording, reporting and compliance for both corporate and leisure segments of the tourism business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage invoicing and receivables using Zoho Books, ensuring each transaction is correctly classified.
• Prepare monthly revenue and management reports, reconciling them against source documents before submission.
• Run payroll on BizEdge, verifying the beneficiary list for each release.
• Handle statutory compliance, including PAYE under the NTA 2025 framework, pension, NSITF and LIRS obligations.
• Reconcile accounts, track expenses and maintain clean, auditable financial records.
• Escalate any payment, reconciliation or reporting anomalies promptly and in writing.

Required profile

• Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (ICAN, ACCA or equivalent) or finance graduate with strong practical experience.
• Minimum of 3 years accounting experience, preferably in a service‑oriented business.
• Proven accuracy and attention to detail, with a habit of verifying before submission.
• Sound understanding of Nigerian tax and statutory compliance.
• Experience in travel, tourism or hospitality is an advantage.
• Strong integrity, sound judgment and clear communication skills.

Required skills

• Zoho Books (or similar accounting software).
• BizEdge payroll system.
