Accountant – Full-time – Lagos

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join our finance team in Lagos. The role involves managing day‑to‑day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy of financial records, and supporting the preparation of reports for management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, examine and analyse accounting records and financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Appraise, evaluate and maintain an inventory of company assets, updating the asset register.
• Record, reconcile and post petty cash and fuel imprest transactions.
• Reconcile payments and receipts, confirm customer deposits and issue receipts.
• Manage all accounting transactions and maintain proper documentation.
• Administer payroll, monitor income and expenditure, and control cash flow.
• Audit financial information and support internal audit processes.
• Compile and present budgets, business plans, commentaries and financial statements.
• Perform any other related tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• HND or B.Sc degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a comparable accounting role.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using accounting software (specific platforms not required).
