Accountant – Financial Management & Reporting

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Accountant to join a leading Nigerian investment and real‑estate development firm in Lekki, Lagos. The role focuses on accurate financial management, reporting, and compliance to support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and maintain the general ledger.
• Produce management reports, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Process vendor invoices, manage accounts payable, monitor receivables and reconcile supplier/customer accounts.
• Record daily transactions, perform bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations, and maintain audit trails.
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws, file tax returns and support internal/external audits.
• Administer payroll, handle statutory deductions and maintain employee compensation records.
• Monitor financial risks, enforce internal controls and detect potential fraud.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field.
• Professional certification preferred (ICAN, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations and financial controls.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
