Account Officer

About the role

The Account Officer will join D’xplorer Cakes and Catering Services Ltd to support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely processing of transactions. This full‑time position is based in Lagos (Marina) and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
• Post daily transactions into the accounting software.
• Reconcile bank statements and petty‑cash accounts.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Support the preparation of tax returns, statutory filings and compliance documentation.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Monitor expenses and compile expense reports.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
• Proximity to Ojodu Berger is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage or Tally.
