Zonal Coordinator

About the role

The Zonal Coordinator will oversee the implementation of the foundation’s programmes across the assigned zone, ensuring that beneficiaries receive the support and monitoring required for sustainable development. The role requires close collaboration with headquarters, local partners and community leaders to ensure that programmes are delivered efficiently and that beneficiaries’ progress is documented accurately. The coordinator will also be responsible for budgeting, financial tracking and preparing communications for stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor all on‑site activities in line with the NGO’s directives.
• Conduct monthly home visits to beneficiaries such as widows, orphans and children of widows.
• Visit schools regularly for scholarship beneficiaries and carry out quarterly educational assessments.
• Manage beneficiary loan applications, submit them to headquarters and set up repayment plans.
• Track the performance of beneficiary businesses after loan or empowerment support.
• Maintain accurate documentation, update beneficiary records monthly and submit detailed activity and programme reports to headquarters.
• Report on the health status of beneficiaries and coordinate the collection of school bills for submission.
• Prepare quarterly newsletters, develop bi‑annual programme budgets and ensure proper retirement of expenditures with supporting documents.
• Organise and facilitate training sessions and meetings for beneficiaries.

Required profile

• Minimum OND in Social Sciences, Administration or a related field.
• At least two years of practical experience working in an NGO environment.
• Strong organisational and reporting skills.
• Ability to work across multiple states (Adamawa, Taraba, Gombe, Yobe, Bornu, Bauchi).
