About the role
The company is seeking an experienced Welding & Fabrication Technician to work on steel structures and machine projects in Abuja and Rivers state.
Key responsibilities
- Fabricate steel structures and other projects.
- Repair and assemble machines and equipment.
- Interpret blueprints and drawings, take measurements, and plan layouts.
- Weld components using manual or semi‑automatic equipment.
- Test and regularly inspect welded structures.
Required profile
- Minimum HND in Mechanical/Welding Engineering or related technical course.
- At least 5 years of welding and fabrication experience.
- Knowledge of safety standards, ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics, and create bills of material.
- Strong coordination, decision‑making, problem‑solving, troubleshooting and reporting skills.
Required skills
- Welding (manual and semi‑automatic)
- AWS welding certification (advantageous)
- Blueprint and drawing interpretation
- Steel structure fabrication
